Just Another Day

#Life#Reflection#Philosophy

In everyone's life there will be a routine, that we all follow. It is the school for some people, colleges for some and work for others. All of us get bored as we do the same routine day by day. Most of the people are not even fortunate enough to do what they like, thus feel very much little happiness in what they do. But if we think about our daily repeating cycles of the day that we face, the outline may look very much the same but the underlying, meaningful moments are what that makes all the differences in one's day.

What are these moments? Are they special circumstances that one can encounter only few times in his lifetime? Absolutely not. Anything that makes you happy about yourself, makes you feel special, make us understand that there are others who think about our wellbeing, any of the above mentioned can be it, or something else can. What that moment is may differ for one and another but the effect of the moment will always be a positive for one.

I saw a advertisement of a biscuit manufacturers telling people to celebrate even small moments that make our day happy and thought why don't I do the same? Even though the thought that some other person has to remind us to stay happy is a bit depressing, lets not focus on that. That can be my future blog's plot line.

In this one I thought I would share how my day was. Yup, just another regular day( but a bit chilly, as its raining, but other than that its a normal day). But I thought it was special. The advantages of being a science stream student is knowing many theories and postulates. You may think that knowledge by itself is a disadvantage (for those who think physics is there only to show how easy the other subjects are, not me though, believe me), but what I am trying to say is these theories are actually very much connected to us in our life. Like how the passage of time is different for one, based on the activity he does. The same is applicable on how a situation affects us. Even though identical situation occurs, how that reacts a person is based on who the person is. Lets not go into that particular rabbit hole right now though as my aim is not to make you understand the underlying concept, but just to inform you the fact that

We may all live in a single earth, but our world's are different

Living our life is hard by itself, and the transition from school to college does not make it easier. The instances that we come across defines us, makes us cry, makes us laugh, makes us think too. And I wanna share about the incident that occurred today(09.12.22), that made my day. Before that lets enter into the most important part of the story, flashback.

I started to watch this thing called "anime" during the start of the 2020 lockdown .Some of you may have heard what an anime is (from me), for those who didn't, its a Japanese art form in the form of animation in simple words. And same as the entire nation of Japan, I got hooked to it. I think anime is great. What is great ? The story which they create, how they represent the world in which the story revolves, how well the characters are written, the vast number of genre that they come with and the list goes on and on.

There are many anime that I like and many that made me think, but SHINGEKI NO KYOJIN, aka, ATTACK ON TITAN, is the one which impacted me the most. The trauma that was displayed, how it was portrayed, how it affected the characters, how the characters behaved, the underlying messages and ideology behind the anime. I loved all of it so much that I actually thought about what they were trying to say, after the end of each episode. During my school days there were some of my classmates that were as excited as me and we used to discuss our views on the episode that was released the day before. It is not really a surprise to do that, but I also used to share my thoughts with my brother and his friends. We used to discuss about the ideology, the characters and their development and many more. We have suggested many other anime to each other too. The anime became a bond between ours, which I cherish.

It was just another day, I was travelling in the train to my home from the college, when my brother, Eric messaged me whether I am on my home. I replied I am on my way and he said to call when I have reached home. I called him once I have reached my home, and he said to come outside after 5 minutes. I went outside my house, with a umbrella as it was raining, and saw that he was waiting outside my house in his car. As I went near him, he lowered his window and gave me a black package and just went away. On the package it was written "For Sethu". I went inside my home and opened the package to find a Attack on titan collectable notebook along with a heartwarming letter which will always be in my heart, as  special as it was the first time I read it. That was my first Christmas present, and its a gift on my favorite anime, which made it even more special. Just as easy as the way he talks with me and see me as his own brother, he made my day.

I thought of taking a picture and posting a story with a heart, but something said that it was not enough. So I thought to take the moment that made my day as a chance to thank all my brothers for their care towards me. Instead of waiting to see what we become, I thought I should celebrate what we are, right now. We can all try to make some other's day special, but before that try to find your moment that makes you happy, something that made your day, something so small that you did not see until now, and try to celebrate it, because it is a fact that it will not always be there, as change is the only constant.
